An ecological assessment evaluates the success of a specific learner in a certain educational environment by examining the learning demands of that setting and comparing them to the target student’s strengths and challenges.
Ecological assessments are often used to guide selection of inclusion opportunities for students and also to support smooth transition programming across grades and schools.
We produce a report that describes each educational setting with the specific social, communication, and academic demands across each location. Additionally, peer performance in those settings is evaluated along with the target student’s performance in each location.
Recommendations are provided to support the appropriate inclusion as well as expansion of inclusion in all appropriate academic settings. Recommendations relating to transition planning are also included as they are relevant.
