The Occupational Therapy Clinic at CCSN specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory-motor deficits, learning disabilities, and other developmental disorders
Our Comprehensive Occupational Therapy Developmental Assessment and Educational Recommendations are designed to give families, school systems, and supporting clinicians the information they need to address the postural, fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing and motor planning needs of your child. The core foundation skills addressed also include postural stability and control, motor performance, and perceptual abilities.
These assessments consist of a family interview, coordination with the current medical and educational team, a comprehensive assessment of the child and a set of thorough recommendations to help support the individual's needs.
Assessments consist of:
- Administration and interpretation of standardized assessments, including the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test, as well as family and school questionnaires and rating scales to address visual-motor integration, fine motor dexterity, sensory processing, motor planning, and perceptual processing
- Uni-disciplinary and interdisciplinary evaluations performed with the other members of the Center’s team (psychologist, speech and language clinicians, special education)
- Family feedback session following the evaluation to review diagnostic findings
- As appropriate, consultation with caregivers and school personnel to assist with IEP development
- A comprehensive report along with detailed treatment recommendations

Psychological Evaluations
We offer comprehensive psychological evaluations for individuals who are presenting with learning, mental health, or behavioral challenges
Educational Evaluations
Our Educational Evaluations look closely at how the student learns and what strategies are required to help them gain new skills and knowledge
Program Observations
Our experts perform an on-site review of the effectiveness of the academic, social, behavioral, and adaptive programming that the student is receiving
Speech and Language Evaluations
Our therapists conduct a comprehensive assessment of your loved one's ability to understand and use language, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and remediation strategies
