Elizabeth C. Nulty, PhD, BCBA-D

Elizabeth Nulty is a licensed behavior analyst, a doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and the Director of the ABA Clinic at CCSN Behavioral Health. She provides support to the ABA Clinic development as well as behavioral analytic services to children and their families.

Dr. Nulty obtained her master’s degree from the Behavior Analysis and Therapy program at Southern Illinois University and her doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College. Dr. Nulty has over 10 years of experience working with children with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families within the home, community, and school setting. She has extensive experience designing and overseeing home-based early intensive behavior intervention programs through Connecticut’s Birth to Three System and by providing consultation services to children with complex learning needs within the public school preschool setting. Additionally, Dr. Nulty has worked with vulnerable populations within applied behavior analysis, including servicing children and families in DCF mandated programs, children with developmental and emotional disturbance in foster care, group homes, and residential facilities. Dr. Nulty has served as an adjunct faculty member in multiple undergraduate and graduate training programs including Naugatuck Valley Community College, the University of Saint Joseph, and Endicott College.  She has provided supervision to master’s level graduates seeking to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts across the state of Connecticut.  Dr. Nulty is an active member of various state and national organizations promoting the progression of ABA and access to services for underserved populations.  She has served as a representative for the Connecticut Association for Applied Behavior Analysis and the Connecticut Autism Speaks State Legislative Advocacy Group. Her professional interests include early intensive intervention, joint attention, program evaluations, legislation and public policy.

Dr. Nulty has published in the Journal of Higher Education Management, the Handbook for Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and the Encyclopedia of Autism Spectrum Disorders and presented workshops and symposium internationally, nationally, regionally on topics including behavioral language assessments, independent educational evaluations, systems level consultation to special education programs, joint attention, and ethics.
