Nathan Truong is a Behavior Technician in the CCSN Behavioral Health ABA Clinic. In the Spring of 2021, Nathan will graduate from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communication and a minor in Women’s Gender Studies. He is interested in pursuing a master’s degree in Psychological Counseling in the future.
Nathan’s experience includes participation in a research internship at the University of Connecticut that compared the effects of being a bilingual speaker versus a non-bilingual speaker on the individual’s emotional disposition and sociality. Nathan utilizes direct instruction, behavioral skills training, and natural environmental teaching in the clinical setting to teach adaptive and daily living skills and promote the development of social-emotional learning, pro-social behaviors, and self-advocacy skills. Nathan is eager to continue exploring the use of Applied Behavior Analysis in the approach and treatment of various socially significant issues.
