Maria Cruz

Maria R. Cruz is a Behavior Technician in the CCSN Behavioral Health ABA Clinic, providing behavioral support and direct instruction under the supervision of a BCBA. She has over four years of experience working with adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and other related neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Prior to joining CCSN, Maria completed coursework in the field of education and has worked in the Hartford School system as a Paraprofessional for twenty-two years. She works with children and young adults, providing support to individuals with disabilities in their daily and academic lives using Discrete Trial Instruction (DTI), task analyses and natural environment teaching. Maria is bilingual and can effectively communicate with children and families in both English and Spanish, further enhancing communication and instruction. Maria’s professional interests include parent education and training, and social skills development. Maria hopes to have a positive impact on the overall progress of the lives of all individuals she supports.
