
Kyara Negron
Kyara is a Behavior Technician working in the CCSN Behavioral Health ABA Clinic providing behavioral support and direct instruction under the supervision of a BCBA. She attended InterAmerican University in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2017. In May 2021, she graduated with a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western Connecticut State University. She is currently on the path to becoming a BCBA.
Prior to joining CCSN, Kyara has done volunteer work in the Public School system in the United States and Puerto Rico. She worked as a Tutor for 7 years. She worked as an ESL/ Bilingual Tutor in West Haven Public School and East Hartford Public School where she provided support with social and communication skills. She has worked with students with autism and other disabilities. She has experienced the cultural gaps and essential needs that many children and families face daily. She has a strong cultural identity and passion for helping all children. She hopes that as an RBT, she can help achieve socially meaningful goals and improve the quality of the service across diverse groups. She plans to become a BCBA and to continue working with children with autism and other disabilities. She is interested in pursuing a doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in the future and hopes to expand awareness of ABA therapy to her native country.
