
Kate Halek, B.S., RBT
Kate Halek is a Registered Behavior Technician in the CCSN Behavioral Health ABA Clinic, providing behavioral support and direct instruction under the supervision of a BCBA. Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is enrolled in a graduate-level ABA program at Capella University.>/p>
Prior to joining CCSN, she supported children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders ranging from ages 5 to 65. She has worked in the public-school system as a Special Education paraprofessional in a self-contained classroom and as a Teaching Assistant for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Kate also supported adults in a day program by providing job coaching and enrichment activities. In addition, Kate managed a residential program supporting individuals with disabilities. She also participated in volunteer activities including the Best Buddies program, where she provided respite care to families with children with special needs and participated the local chapter of the Special Olympics as a coach for track and field. Her professional interests include functional communication training (FCT), functional behaviors, and emotional regulation.
