
Abigail Myrie, BT
Abigail Myrie is a Behavior Technician in the CCSN Behavioral Health ABA Clinic. She recently graduated from Hunter College in the Mental Health Counseling Program. Abigail has worked with children in school settings for six years She also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at the University at Albany in Psychology in May 2018. This year she plans to further her education by applying for doctorate programs in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on children and adolescent psychology.
Abigail previously worked with children ages 1 to 5 at a preschool, and as an assistant teacher, she worked collaboratively with both the children and their parents. She taught her students social skills, fine motor skills and basic life skills. Abigail previously completed an internship with high school students at the NYU College Prep Academy and has gained valuable knowledge from this experience. As a student counselor, she helped to create workshops, discussions, and role-playing activities. The topics discussed covered the social and emotional well-being of the students, personal and professional communication, college readiness, college survival, and more. Abigail’s professional interests include neurodevelopment disorders, lifespan development, childhood disorders, neuropsychology, and child development.
